Privacy Policy Shia Muslim app only asks users for very basic and general information. We collect information to improve your experience and the performance of the application. In other words, you do not need to grant any permission to use this App, as there is always an alternative method. We take the privacy of the information you provide—and that we collect—very seriously, and we have implemented security measures to protect your personal data. We do not share your information with any third-party advertisers or ad networks for any reason. The data we collect is determined by the services and functionality you request. You may refuse to provide us with personal information; however, this may prevent us from providing you with certain App services or functionality. The personal information we collect and the purposes for which we use it are described further below. To use this application, you do not need to create a Membership account. However, Membership enables us to provide a more personalized experience. We only require a name and a valid email address to create a Membership account. Your privacy is important to us. That is why this application does not request any additional or unrelated access, and we have made every effort not to request even the usual accesses that most applications require for similar functionalities. The most important aspect of this App regarding privacy is that users do not have to give any access to use this App—even in the full version. For example, Adhan users can choose their location manually rather than activating GPS. Shia Muslim is a comprehensive app that integrates more than ten applications, and many of its features operate online. What Personal Information Do We Collect? If you have a Shia Muslim account, we may collect, process, and use the personal information you provide when using our App or the services available through the App. This includes: The data you upload or enter into the App Your name, email address, and profile picture Your user activity, including Qur'an searches The city you have chosen for Adhan Any changes you make to the App’s settings We may also process and use certain types of personal information relating to your device and App settings, whether or not you have a Shia Muslim account. This includes: Device information: Device manufacturer, model, operating system and version, and App version App activities: App pairing with a smartwatch, date of installation, date of last use, city, state, country, IP address, time zone, language, and a “once per app installation” ID (which we generate when you install the App and destroy when it is deleted from your device) Network data: Your mobile operator's name and country Usage information: Session duration, feature usage, and premium/free App status When you use the App for prayer times, we need to know where you are. This can be done either through geolocation information or by manually selecting your city. If you have an account with us, your most recent changes—such as prayer location information—will be synchronized across all devices linked to your account. If you do not have an account with us, this data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. Other Geolocation Data: When using the Qibla feature, your geolocation data is also required. This data is always stored on your device and never stored by us. Analytics: We receive certain data from our analytics service providers—Google Firebase, Google Analytics for Firebase, and Google Firebase Crashlytics. This data helps us improve the App’s functionality and understand user experience issues such as crashes.
